A NDIS plan may or may not appear to meet your needs but even if it does look ok in the beginning, you might get part way through the plan and things change.

During the first 3 months of receiving a NDIS plan, you can Request a Review. Generally, after that period, you would need to have a Change of Circumstances with a Request for Review application.

There is no right or wrong way to approach this issue. One way to look at it is to consider what hasn’t been funded. Is there something you specifically asked for which was not funded? Perhaps you think there is a gap between the funding provided and what a person’s support needs are. Gathering evidence can be an important part of working out if the plan meets your needs.

For support, you could contact a Disability Advocacy Organisation. We have a link on our site so that you can look up the closest one to you. A support coordinator can help you work through goals and funding. Talking to others with a plan may also be helpful. Everyone is different, hopefully, you will find support that is useful to you, that is, if you need it.
